Getting Started

It’s easy to start a project with Write-Aid. The first step is to tell us about your project using the form provided below. In addition, you will need to forward a copy of the project that needs to be converted into optimal English. The preferred format is a Microsoft Word document. However, if you need Write-Aid to convert existing printed material (such as a brochure or a menu), you can send a pdf file of the complete project. If you want Write-Aid to convert your website, you must provide the complete url. If you have any questions or need help, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Write-Aid Project Description

(required)

(Please include your full address - city, province or region, postal code, country.)
(NOTE: For your security, your credit card number will only be taken over our private phone line, during the Start-Up Call.)
(What kind of project do you need to have converted into optimal English? Examples – book, website, article, letter, brochure, menu)
(What is your project about? Examples – a book about using Reiki and massage for a better pregnancy and childbirth experience, a letter about the terms of a property settlement, a brochure about my consulting business, the menu for my new restaurant)
(What do you want to communicate with this project and why? Examples – I want to get tourists excited about the botanical gardens in my area. I want to tempt the global market with my hand-dipped chocolates. I want to explain my new system for developing marketing strategies.)
(What are 5 different words you might use to describe the essence of your project? Examples – fiery, playful, enticing, compelling, luxurious, astute, sexy, smart)
(What is the tone of this project? Examples – In a letter of application for a visiting faculty position at Boston University, the tone would be formal and academic. In a brochure selling hand-crafted toys, the tone might be casual and playful. On a website about what to see and do in Berlin for young international business professionals, the tone should be professional, but informal, enticing, and friendly.)
(To whom are you communicating? Who do you want to reach? Examples – This brochure is targeted to international relief agencies fighting poverty. This website is for people who want to know more about fine dining in Prague. This book is written for serious musicologists.)
(How big is your project? Examples – a 3-page brochure, an 8-page menu, a book of approximately 250 pages divided into 8 chapters)
(When do you need to have the conversion completed? Examples – as soon as possible, by 01 May 2007, within the next six months)
(Is there anything else about your project that Write-Aid needs to know? Examples – This project uses technical terms in the field of neurology. This material is proprietary and/or sensitive in nature.)
